But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” – Isaiah 43:1
Vickie Dean
Lay Leader for New Life Methodist Church of Salado
God is always planting seeds and pruning us. I would have never thought when I was a young college student going to Campus Crusade on Friday nights at Texas A&M that I would have answered the call of being the lay leader for New Life Methodist Church of Salado.
I love hearing all the stories of people who share how blessed they are when they have listened to God. Father Mike Schmidt during his Parables tour discussed the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Luke 15. Father Mike highlighted how Jesus relentlessly pursues us when we are lost and stray away from him. Jesus then celebrates when we are found! I am inspired by that image of God pursuing all of us to have a relationship with him.
As a member of New Life, I am passionate that our church is seen as a church who prays for you, worships passionately, and witnesses through serving people in our church and the community. My prayer is to be able to serve Christ, our church, and our community.
Our church looks forward to you visiting and leaving with the feeling of not only a connection to our members but especially with God.
